Star SearchingBy Tim Hodson

We are now accepting nominations for GPN’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2017.

GPN’s 40 Under 40 program is a chance to recognize some of the rising stars we have in the horticulture industry.

Each year in our May issue, we celebrate the achievements of 40 young professionals that excel in their professional careers and personal lives.

These young men and women are making a difference in our industry’s future. In fact, they are creating our industry’s future.

We are looking for growers, breeders, garden center operators, landscapers, researchers, academics, marketers/communicators or scientists — horticulture professionals that are innovators and have that little something extra.

They are passionate about what they do and where horticulture is headed … and they are determined to set the pace for the future.

These are the type of individuals we want to recognize.

Do You Know a Rising Star?

Do you know someone that you think should be a member of the Class of 2017?

Is that person a superstar who the rest of the industry should know about?

It is very easy to nominate someone for the Class of 2017. All you need to do is go to http://gpnmag.wpengine.com/40-under-40-nomination and fill out the nomination form.

Anyone in the horticulture industry under the age of 40 (as of Jan. 31, 2017) is eligible to be nominated.

Previously nominated individuals who have not been selected in prior years can be nominated again as long as they have not yet turned 40.

The deadline to submit nominations is Jan. 23, 2017.
