Florida Hosts Variety TrialsSource: University of Florida

The University of Florida and the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association are holding their 2006 Floriculture Field Day and Variety Trials on May 25th and 26th in Gainesville, Fla. The Florida trials are the industry’s first opportunity to see 2006 introductions outside of Pack Trials and in independent testing.

The variety trials have been expanded this year and will feature individual beds from breeder/marketer company where each will show their new introductions. Additionally, educational sessions are scheduled for Thursday and Friday in retail, grower and landscape tracks.

Costa Farms is recognized as the principal sponsor of the trials. Information on the seminars and registration can be found at www.fnga.org/flori-seminar/gen-info.asp , and the trials contact is Jennifer Boldt, trial manager, at jkboldt@ifas.ufl.edu.
