GGS Structures Inc. is sponsoring a new contest to find out what greenhouse growers like most about working in this industry. The winner of the contest will ultimately be determined by voting on the best response, and the winner will receive an iPad Mini.

The goal of the contest is to promote the industry, with the focus being helping growers succeed.

“The contest is well underway, and we’ve had an amazing response so far,” said Richard Hebbourn, communications specialist at GGS. “We’ve enjoyed the unique, creative, and inspirational responses. Some entries have been as long as a page, while others are only a few words long. We have had poems, very serious entries, and some are quite comical. It’s great to see the variety of personality in the responses we’ve received.”

“We’re going to create a special section on our website to post all the response we receive,” said Hebbourn. “Greenhouse growers are part of a community. They share, teach, inspire, and motivate one another. Our hope is that growers will come across these responses, and it will continue to remind them what they’re in it for. We also want to encourage people new to the industry – reading responses from seasoned veterans is motivating. It’s powerful.”

Growers have until the end of May to enter the contest. In June, the top answers will be posted on the GGS website, and people will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite submission. The one with the most votes by the end of June will win the iPad Mini.
