Mid-Am Officers And Directors ElectedSource: Mid-America Horticultural Trade Show

Mid-Am, a premier horticultural trade show, recently held elections in Schaumburg, Ill., for its board of directors. The board of directors is made up of representatives from each of Mid-Am’s sponsoring organizations, namely, The Illinois Green Industry Association (IGIA, formerly the Illinois Nurserymen’s Association), the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association (ILCA) and the Wisconsin Green Industry Federation (WGIF).

Randy Jasperson of Jasperson Sod in Franksville, Wis., and representative of WGIF, was re-elected president. Richard Harms, Countryside Flower Shop & Nursery in Crystal Lake, Ill., and representative of IGIA, was re-elected vice-president. Bill Vogel of Spring Valley Turf Products in Jackson, Wis., also representative of WFIG, was re-elected treasurer. A new member for this year will be Barbara Rosborough of Rosborough Partners, Inc. in Libertyville, Ill., elected to a 1-year term as secretary. Rosborough represents ILCA.

A new director was also appointed to a 3-year term. Dave Story, Bartlett Tree Experts, will serve this term. He represents ILCA. Three existing members of the board, Connor Shaw, Possibility Place Nursery, Monee, Ill.; John Hendricksen, The Care of Trees, Wheeling, Ill.; and Carsten Hoffmeyer, Hoffie Nursery, Union, Ill., will remain on the board. Shaw and Hoffmeyer are both representatives of IGIA, and Hendrickson is a representative of ILCA.
