Cobra is a compact mounding series bred specifically for pack use. Varieties within this series have large flowers, exceptional disease tolerance and the ability to perform well in sub-optimal conditions — whether that is low light, low temperatures or high humidity.

Use a well-drained, peat-based growing mix with pH between 5.5 and 6.0 and EC at 0.75. Day temperatures should be at least 75° F, and night temperatures at 65 to 68° F. Keep light levels as high as possible if the ideal temperatures are achievable — 5,000 foot-candles.

Avoid excess moisture to media and foliage to help prevent disease. Regular light irrigations also are not ideal. Irrigate well and then allow media to dry almost to wilting before irrigating again.

One week after transplant, fertilize with 200- to 300-ppm nitrogen (nitrate form) from 15-5-15, 17-5-17 or 13-2-13 once a week. Avoid fertilizers high in phosphorus.
