Registration Open For Dallas Plant Trials Field DaySource: Dallas Arboretum

The sixth annual Dallas Arboretum Plant Trials Field Day will take place Wednesday, June 27, 2007, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Numerous annuals, sub-tropicals, bulbs, herbaceous perennials and woody plants will be tested at the trial gardens to determine the best plants for the unique climate of north Texas. Attendees, including breeders, growers, retailers, landscapers, garden media, municipalities and trial sponsors, will receive advance information on recommended plants for the next growing season.

Jimmy Turner, director of research for Dallas Arboretum, and Brent Pemberton of Texas A&M University, will give presentations. An open forum will take place for all plant breeders to introduce new material. Afterwards, lunch will be provided in the trial gardens while attendees visit with plug and seed suppliers and local growers to find availability on promoted plants.

For more information, contact Jimmy Turner at jturner@dallasarboretum.org or visit www.dallasplanttrials.org.
