Back in the Office
Two weeks ago, it was Ft. Lauderdale and a trip to TPIE. Last week, Pete Mihalek and I flew down to Louisville to attend ANLA Management Clinic. This week I’m in the office “ for the entire week.
During lunch with ANLA executive vice president Bob Dolibois on Friday, we had a chance to get his thoughts on ANLA’s recent joint venture with OFA.
He said he was “reveling in the cultural similarities” of the two organizations and their memberships. He said both ANLA and OFA are looking forward to many new opportunities to co-brand the organizations, serve their respective memberships and share in the “joint risks and rewards” in the future.
“Their [OFA’s] strengths were our weaknesses and our strengths were their weaknesses.” He mentioned specifically how OFA was known for the strong educational programs that it offers, while ANLA has a solid reputation for its industry advocacy.
Dolibois said the joint venture is still only in its infancy and “we are still exploring a lot of options for the future…and everything was on the table” for discussion.
He said 2013 is when many of the new opportunities most likely would emerge because both organizations pretty much have their 2012 game plans in place. But he expects “a new face will surface” for both organizations next year. Stay tuned!
