One. More. Week. By Tim Hodson

That is how long college students have to apply to be the 2014 GPN/Nexus Intern of the Year.

If you know a college student that participated in a college-sponsored internship program at a horticulture-related company in 2013, then let him or her know that the deadline for applications is next Monday (Oct. 21)!

The winning student will receive a check for $3,000; be featured in an article and on the cover of the January 2014 issue of GPN; receive airfare and hotel expenses to 2014 OFA Short Course as well as a full Short Course registration.

All of the information for applying for the 2014 GPN/Nexus Intern of the Year scholarship can be found here.

If you know a student who qualifies, please tell them they have one.more.week.

Still Time to Participate in IDM Survey

I also wanted to remind you that researchers at Cornell Cooperative Extension, Cornell University and Michigan State University are still looking for participants for their survey on impatiens downy mildew and its impact on growers and retailers.

To participate in the survey go to https://cornell.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_25JUVN0Mawrbi4d. The deadline is Nov. 1.
