Ready for Summer School? By Tim Hodson

Even though we are now in the summer months, that doesn’t mean school’s out for everyone.

On July 1, the University of Florida IFAS Extension will offer the second course in its 2019 Online Training Program.

Nutrient Management 1 is designed so you can train yourself, or your staff, to make better crop management decisions by learning the basics of plant nutrition management.

This course is intermediate level and designed for people with some experience or entry university level, and are in production, technical, or sales role.

Topics covered include common nutrient problems, essential nutrients, fertilizer types, onsite pH and EC testing, and growing media. The course is offered in English and Spanish.

The course will run from July 1 until July 26,  and includes a personalized certificate of completion. The cost is $199 per participant, with discounts if you register five or more.

Over the four-week period, there are streaming video lessons, readings and assignments (about 3 hours total commitment per week), which can be accessed at any time of day. To register please visit hort.ifas.ufl.edu/training/).

For more information, including discounts for registering multiple staff, send an email to greenhousetraining@ifas.ufl.edu, or visit http://hort.ifas.ufl.edu/training/.

Are you ready for summer school?
