- Expanded company’s existing IPM program to incorporate beneficials and reduce chemical usage, improve overall plant quality and develop proper scouting and pest identification techniques.
- Leads growing team that produces plant material from 30 breeding companies for display at Cultivate trade show in Columbus, Ohio.
Extracurricular
Backyard hobby: Aston and her husband have a small “hobby farm” in their backyard where they grow blueberries, brambles, asparagus, field crops and cut flowers. They also raise honeybees and quail, chickens and turkeys for egg and meat production.
Fun Facts
In Her Spare Time: During the winter, she passes the time with knitting and, as soon as she can get outside, she enjoys working in the garden, kayaking and hiking.
