Farwest Keynote to Address Immigration

Ali Noorani, executive director of the National Immigration Forum, will deliver the keynote address at the 2018 Farwest Show, Aug. 22-24, in Portland, Oregon,

Noorani’s speech, “Leading the Way: A New Approach to American Immigration,” opens the show on Aug. 22.

As executive director of the National Immigration Forum (NIF), Noorani is one of the nation’s leading voices on immigrants and immigration. He will shed light on the connections of immigration to the economy and the political and cultural contexts of today’s immigration debate.

“This may be one of the most timely and relevant keynotes ever for Farwest,” said Allan Niemi, director of events for show producers the Oregon Association of Nurseries. “Ali’s personal and professional insights offer new ideas for dealing with a crisis that has profound implications for our industry and the nation.”
