AFE awards $63,500 in educational grants
The American Floral Endowment (AFE) announced on Oct. 23 that 19 organizations will receive educational grants totaling $63,500 for the 2024-25 period. These funds will support various educational initiatives, including conferences and training programs aimed at enhancing awareness in the floral industry.
The awarded grants will enable organizations to conduct both online and in-person training, advancing education in floriculture. Recipients include the American Society for Horticultural Science and North Carolina State University, among others.
“For over 60 years, the Endowment has helped fund educational programs and opportunities that are vital to advancing our industry,” said Adam Van Winkle, AFE Education Committee chair. “Through the support of our dedicated donors, we are able to continue our commitment to widespread industry education, ensuring a strong and prosperous future for floriculture.”
The AFE encourages organizations and universities to apply for educational grants by June 1 each year to support similar initiatives.
