Ag Secretary to Keynote AmericanHort’s Impact Washington

AmericanHort has announced that U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will be a keynote speaker for the 2019 Impact Washington Summit.

Taking place September 16-18 in Washington, D.C., the summit will unite leaders across the green industry to hear from dynamic speakers about the issues facing the industry along with educating Congress on our challenges and priorities.

“Secretary Perdue is a steadfast champion of agriculture community both in the President’s cabinet and on the world stage,” said Craig Regelbrugge, AmericanHort Senior Vice President for Advocacy and Research.  “His tireless advocacy for horticulture and his depth of knowledge make his presence a fantastic addition to this year’s already exciting Impact Washington Summit.”

Legislative and regulatory priorities at the Impact Washington Summit will center around workforce and transportation issues, research funding and implementation, and business and marketplace regulation.

These issues are of critical importance to horticultural businesses across the nation.
