EuroAmerican Propagators Hires New Marketing Director

EuroAmerican Propagators recently hired Chris Berg as director of marketing. Berg joins EuroAmerican from his previous position at McGregor Plant Sales, where he served as business development and marketing manager, with primary responsibilities in the Florexpo and PAC programs. Prior to that, he held a marketing role with Ball Horticultural Company. He will also be launching the EuroAmerican Marketing Services Department, which will offer a full-scale marketing agency for the horticulture industry. Valent Professional Products Announces Registration News for Safari and Adorn

Valent Professional Products recently announced that Adorn Fungicide (fluopicolide) had received EPA registration for control of downy mildew, Phytophthora and Pythium in greenhouses and nurseries. Available for use as a spray or drench, Adorn is a new chemistry that has performed well in studies at Cornell University’s Long Island Horticultural Research & Extension Center.

In addition, Valent announced that the California label for Safari 20 SG Insecticide (dinotefuran) has been expanded to include a basal trunk spray application method, and a 2 percent granular formulation of Safari has been registered for use in California.

BioWorks Announces OMRI Approval for RootShield WP

BioWorks recently announced that the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) had reviewed the company’s EPA-registered biological fungicide RootShield WP and approved the listing for use in organic production. The improved formulation of RootShield allows application through drip systems and drip irrigation booms used for soil drenches. RootShield WP provides preventive control — for up to 12 weeks per application — of major root diseases including Pythium, Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, Thielaviopsis and Cylindrocladium. RootShield WP is registered for indoor and outdoor root disease control on greenhouse and outdoor ornamentals, herbs, and vegetables. For more information, visit BioWorks’ website.
