Nursery, foliage and floriculture growers are encouraged to attend the BMPs for Water Quality and Treatment South Florida Regional Workshop, set to take place Nov. 10, 2010, from 9:15 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Locations include : Costa Farms, Miami; Living Colors Nursery, Homestead; and Miami-Dade County UF IFAS Extension, Homestead.

Registration cost is only $20 per person if you pre-register by Oct. 29. The cost goes up to $40 after Oct. 29. A 20 percent discount is offered to FNGLA members.

  • Manage pathogens, algae, biofilm, sale and alkalinity problems in irrigation water
  • Irrigate with recaptured water, surface ponds and reclaimed water sources
