The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has announced two vacancies on its Nursery Advisory Board.

The Nursery Advisory Board, consisting of 12 voting members, advises the CDFA’s Nursery Services Program on matters related to policies, fees and other issues affecting nurseries and nursery stock in California.

Board members serve four-year terms and represent a broad spectrum of the nursery industry. Meetings occur at least twice a year and may meet more frequently if needed.

Although the position is unpaid, members are reimbursed for travel expenses. The board also includes non-voting ex officio members from various agricultural and academic organizations.

Those interested in applying for a position must submit a resumé and a questionnaire by Nov. 25, 2024. All application materials need to be submitted via email to Kristina Weber, board supervisor, or by mailing to California Department of Food and Agriculture Pest Exclusion Branch, 1220 N Street, Room 241, Sacramento, California 95814. For more information, call the Nursery Services Program at 916-654-0435.
