Danziger, Syngenta Flowers Create Joint Perennial Marketing Initiative

Danziger and Syngenta Flowers are launching a new marketing initiative that will include their respective perennial portfolios in the United States and Canada in one offering under the brand name ThinkPlants.

With the launch of ThinkPlants, Danziger and Syngenta Flowers are demonstrating their continued commitment to growers, brokers and retailers by offering a comprehensive perennial assortment.

This new marketing initiative not only supports the respective efforts of Danziger and Syngenta but also opens the door for additional breeders and suppliers to market their varieties under the ThinkPlants family of products, enabling brokers and growers to more efficiently create and book their perennial program.

Danziger and Syngenta are also excited to announce that Kapiteyn b.v. of Breezand, the Netherlands, the breeder and supplier of Captain Callas, as well as Unex USA, LLC, a supplier of bare root perennials and bulbs, will also have varieties available through ThinkPlants.

For the 2019–20 season, Danziger Guatemala will provide the supply chain for both Danziger’s and Syngenta Flowers’s offerings under the ThinkPlants brand.

This combined supply chain reinforces Danziger’s and Syngenta Flowers’s commitment to supplying the best genetics as well as the best quality into the North American market.

Scott Valentine, Head of Flowers North America, said “Syngenta is committed to providing our grower and broker partners with the best-of-the-best innovative breeding and top quality supply of seeds and cuttings. This new initiative in the bulb and bare root classes continues to deliver on this commitment.”

Ori Danziger, Deputy CEO of Danziger, said, “We witness an increased demand for high quality perennials in many markets, as well as North America. By creative collaborations, with strong partners, we believe we have created the best value proposition for this market.”

ThinkPlants will be on display at Cultivate 18’  in Columbus, Ohio.
