Dümmen Orange Acquires New Zealand Calla Company

Dümmen Orange has expanded its product portfolio by adding the calla assortment and breeding pipeline of New Zealand-based Bloomz.

These calla lilies from New Zealand will enhance the current Dümmen Orange product lines, especially in cut flowers, to offer growers around the globe the best products available.

In combination with Dümmen Orange’s global sales reach and modern breeding capabilities, this will result in a superior offering to customers worldwide and bolstering innovations, especially in the introduction of disease resistance and productivity traits.

This expansion enables Dümmen Orange to further develop the breeding in cut flowers and offer highly appreciated, interesting commercial varieties to our customers. This step is a clear demonstration of Dümmen Orange’s commitment to calla lily (Zantedeschia) and brings value to our customers.

Bloomz will continue their other breeding businesses outside of calla.
