New head grower for Sakata Seed America
Sakata Seed America has announced Noe Barajas as new head grower and trial manager at its research station in Salinas, California.
Barajas brings over 30-years of growing experience and extensive knowledge of crop management and product development, including key positions with Yoder Brothers, Color Spot Nursery and, most recently, Ernst Benary of America. His new responsibilities include managing all growing activity of ornamental flowers in support of Sakata sales and marketing, research and development and production departments.
Development and successful marketing of new genetics to meet the demands of today’s evolving ornamental trade is a complex endeavor. “Noe’s strong technical expertise and proven track record for growing a wide range of crops and managing greenhouse operations makes him the ideal addition to Sakata’s expanding flower team.” states Joe Cimino, senior managing director of Sakata Ornamentals.
