Pleasant View Hosts Poinsettia WorkshopsSource: Pleasant View Gardens

Pleasant View Gardens (PVG) is hosting three poinsettia workshops during the 2004 season. The goal of these workshops is to aid growers with cultural issues, variety selection and offer an independent Northeast trial of poinsettia varieties from leading breeders.

“Providing grower education is an integral element of PVG’s mission as a top-quality liner supplier,” says Henry Huntington, PVG president. “Most growers in the United States think of us as Proven Winners; however, we have successfully propagated and grown Ecke Ranch and Fischer USA poinsettias for years. The three poinsettia workshops will provide useful education from industry leaders in the poinsettia field. Any grower is welcome to attend one or all of the free seminars.”

“We feel it’s important to help growers find better ways to grow these popular seasonal plants and solve issues before they become problems,” concludes Huntington. “Our November/December workshop will be a ‘don’t miss’ event featuring new introductions from well-known breeders, leading 2004 varieties from each breeder and trial varieties yet to be announced for 2005.”
