Proven Winners earns top awards at Plantarium 2024
Proven Winners ColorChoice plants received major recognition at Plantarium 2024, a horticultural trade show held Aug. 21-22, in Boskoop, Netherlands. The event brought together growers, wholesalers and garden centers from around the world.
Proven Winners ColorChoice ‘Bubbly Wine’ weigela earned the Gold Medal in the Novelty category. Submitted by Valkplant BV, this variety was praised for its vibrant yellow, green and burgundy foliage. Judges from the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society selected the plant for its standout characteristics.
Another Proven Winners plant, ‘Invincibelle Sublime’ Hydrangea arborescens, was awarded a Bronze Medal. Known for its saturated tourmaline-green blooms and dark green foliage, it offers an eye-catching addition to gardens.
“Valkplant/ColorChoice Plants EU entered two novelties in the KVBC Novelty contest at Plantarium 2024, and we were thrilled to learn that both received awards,” said Esther Wientjens, marketing manager at Valkplant/ColorChoice Plants EU.
