UF to Host Virtual Field Day on Compact Vegetable Evaluation

On Jan. 20, the University of Florida will host a virtual field day to provide greenhouse growers with information on new compact tomato, pepper and cucumber cultivars for patio and indoor gardening.

Participants will learn about tips to produce great plants for the booming food gardening market in 2021. Presentations will be given by UF researchers and industry plant breeding specialists.

The virtual field day is an opportunity to learn about key features of new cultivars that can be grown by the bedding plant industry for this expanding market.

The virtual field day presentation will take place from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. EST.
