Biological fungicide

BioWorks has recently been issued a U.S. patent for its RootShield PLUS+ biofungicide. It prevents diseases caused by soilborne Phytophthora species and offers improved control of diseases caused by Fusarium, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, Thielaviopsis and Cylindrocladium species. Its two active ingredients, Trichoderma harzianum strain T-22 and Trichoderma virens strain G-41, grow on roots and in surrounding soils shielding them against root-damaging fungi for up to 12 weeks, while promoting healthier root systems.
