New Blog Shares Seed Stories
To help Park Seed and Wayside Gardens customers share their gardening stories, the company is hosting a new blog at www.parkseedmemories.com. The blog kicks off a year of preparations for Park Seed Company’s 140th birthday in 2008.

BASF Appoints New National Ornamentals Account Manager
BASF Professional Turf and Ornamentals has appointed Steve Larson national ornamentals account manager. Larson will provide technical and sales assistance to BASF’s sales force as well as training and support to authorized ornamentals distributors and growers.
Larson’s appointment coincides with BASF’s formal entry into the United States commercial ornamentals market. Building on its chemical innovations labeled for golf, lawn care, sod and sports turf markets, BASF now provides commercial ornamentals growers fungicide, herbicide and insecticide solutions.
Park Avenue Farms, Fleurizon Sign Agreement
Park Avenue Farms (PAF) and Fleurizon have signed a marketing and royalty administration contract for the introduction of new varieties bred by Park Avenue Farms in New York.
PAF is a long-time breeder of different varieties. Fleurizon is a marketing and cuttings supply company that also issues propagation contracts and tip-cutting contracts for growers in the United States, Canada and other countries.
