• A former head grower for a large ornamental producer, he oversaw the propagation of seeds and unrooted cuttings for more than 150 different genuses and developed proper cultural practices to optimize the genetic potential of new cultivars.

After Hours: When not working, Sean enjoys going for a run, playing basketball and reading books about plants — a favorite is “Plant Empowerment” because it “brings the science of growing plants and physics together to show a new perspective on greenhouse plant production.”

He Continues to Play: In middle school, Sean learned how to play the trombone “and have held on to this skill set throughout my adult life.”
