Pleasant View Introduces New Tag ProgramSource: Pleasant View Gardens

Pleasant View Gardens recently designed a tag program to help growers and retailers maximize the Proven Winners brand on hanging baskets of its new ‘Supertunia Pretty Much Picasso’. Pete Gilmore, Pleasant View’s national sales manager, said the hanging basket program gave customers an opportunity to quintuple their sales in the format where Pretty Much Picasso “just shines.”

“Research shows that when you sell Proven Winners product in Proven Winners pots with the Proven Winners tag and POP, you sell five times as many plants,” Gilmore said.

Pleasant View worked with John Henry to put the company’s Foil Kote technology to work in floriculture. The reflective foil printing had been successful in the pharmaceutical and entertainment industries, but “no other greenhouse had used it,” said Carol Huntington, Pleasant View’s marketing manager. Foil Kote is designed to reflect light and create an upscale look for any product.
