GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year

Every fall for the past 26 years, GPN and Prospiant have been recognizing outstanding college students with the GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year Scholarship.

And now we would like to find number 27!

Do you know any undergraduate students who were able to participate in a floriculture/horticulture internship in 2025? If you do, please tell them to apply for this year’s scholarship.

2026 GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year

Here is a reminder of what the GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year will receive:

• A check for $3,000
• An article featuring them in the January 2026 issue of GPN
• Travel and hotel expenses to Cultivate’26 in Columbus, Ohio, in July, with a full Cultivate’26 registration (compliments of AmericanHort).

Student requirements

To be considered for the 2026 scholarship, the student must meet these requirements:

• Must be enrolled in a four-year accredited university during 2024-2025 and 2025-2026
• Must be working on an undergraduate degree in horticulture/floriculture; and
• Have completed a greenhouse-related internship in 2025.

To apply for the 2026 GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year Scholarship the student needs to fill out the form below.

The deadline to apply is Nov. 3.
