GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year

 

Every fall for the past 27 years, GPN and Prospiant have been recognizing outstanding college students with the GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year Scholarship.

And now we would like to find number 28!

Do you know any undergraduate students who were able to participate in a floriculture/horticulture internship in 2026? If you do, please tell them to apply for this year’s scholarship.

2027 GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year

Here is a reminder of what the GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year will receive:

  • A check for $3,000
  • An article featuring them in the January 2027 issue of GPN
  • Travel and hotel expenses to Cultivate’27 in Columbus, Ohio, in July, with a full Cultivate’27 registration (compliments of AmericanHort).

Student requirements

To be considered for the 2027 scholarship, the student must meet these requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a four-year accredited university during 2025-2026 and 2026-2027
  • Must be working on an undergraduate degree in horticulture/floriculture; and
  • Have completed a greenhouse-related internship in 2026.

To apply for the 2026 GPN/Prospiant Intern of the Year Scholarship the student needs to fill out the form below.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 30.
