The 41st Farwest Trade Show will take place Aug. 22-24, 2013 in Portland, Ore., and it will spotlight new plants, hard-to-find varieties, networking opportunities, nursery tours and informative speakers sharing the latest in the evolving horticulture industry.

The 41st Farwest Trade Show will take place Aug. 22-24, 2013 in Portland, Ore., and it will spotlight new plants, hard-to-find varieties, networking opportunities, nursery tours and informative speakers sharing the latest in the evolving horticulture industry. The Farwest Trade Show is designed to offer education, including continuing education credits and pesticide certification. It also offers networking opportunities for garden center professionals, growers, landscape architects, contractors and designers as well as those involved in planning, maintaining and managing the urban canopy and plantings on public lands. Three tours are planned for Aug. 20-21, 2013, as a way to showcase the best that Oregon’s climate has to offer. Each tour is designed to appeal to a wide variety of interests. More than 35 hours of professional development seminars will feature a fresh lineup of speakers covering everything from ideas to increase sales, the latest in plant trends and design, eco-friendly production techniques and landscape maintenance to the impact of increased habitat restoration on the future of the nursery industry.
