AFE Phone-A-Thons on the MoveSource: AFE

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) will hold its largest-ever fundraising events at two locations in June 2005. FTD and Teleflora will each host a Phone-A-Thon to raise funds for industry consumer and scientific research and educational programs. On June 8 and 9, 2005, FTD is hosting an AFE Phone-A-Thon at FTD Headquarters, Downers Grove, Ill. On June 14 and 15, 2005, Teleflora is hosting an AFE Phone-A-Thon at Teleflora in Oklahoma City, Okla. The total goal for this year’s event is $2 million in pledges to be paid over five years.

Industry leaders volunteer to be callers, phone industry companies and ask for five-year pledges to the American Floral Endowment. To date, 67 industry leaders have volunteered to be callers.

Many past Phone-A-Thon volunteer callers will call again, enjoying the satisfaction of generating pledges to increase the AFE corpus, while enjoying the camaraderie and friendly rivalry among the small teams created for the event.
