AmericanHort Sets New Dates for Plug & Cutting Conference

AmericanHort has announced the rescheduled dates for the Plug & Cutting conference. The new dates are Sept. 4-6, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Originally scheduled for September of this year in Charlotte, the conference was cancelled due to the looming threat of Hurricane Florence.

“We had record breaking attendance for the event and were disappointed to have to reschedule, however, out of an abundance of caution for our members, attendees, and sponsors and great respect for the people of North Carolina whose lives were to be disrupted by hurricane Florence, we felt this was without question the right thing to do,” said Ken Fisher, president and CEO of AmericanHort.

“We appreciate everyone’s patience as we’ve worked to identify the best time to reschedule this event. As you might imagine there are a myriad of details that go into planning a conference like this. We had to make sure we had an appropriate facility and as few industry conflicts as possible to host an event that meets the needs of all participants from attendees, exhibitors, tour hosts and educational speakers,” said Fisher.

The conference will again be at the Embassy Suites-Concord. The Production Tour stops will be at the same venues. Tour participants will have the opportunity to visit Metrolina Greenhouses and Rockwell Farms. The educational sessions and trade show will take place Sept, 5- and 6.

Registration for the 2019 Plug & Cutting event will open in January 2019.
