AmericanHort to Present Webinar on New Overtime Rule
On Sept. 29, AmericanHort will present a webinar on “Avoiding Audit Surprises: The New Overtime Rule and Other Federal Labor Topics.”
The webinar will take place at 2 p.m. EDT.
During the one-hour webinar, Chris Schulte from CJ Lake will discuss the May 2016 U.S. Department of Labor final rule doubling the salary level for “white collar” employees exempt from overtime pay, as well as the role of the overtime exemption for agricultural workers.
Schulte will also look at efforts to block the new overtime rule and possible strategies for employers to comply with the rule when it takes effect. From there, we will cover current topics in federal labor law – from “joint employment” to the H-2 programs, from immigration enforcement to OSHA regulations.
