Arborjet Plans Arbor Day Activities

Arborjet plans to celebrate Arbor Day (April 27) by hosting several community events across the country, including opportunities to help educate people about planting trees and ornamentals and participate in other creative planting activities.

An ornamental workshop will take place at the Botanical Garden in St. Louis, Missouri.  Emmit Muennick, Arborjet’s south central regional technical manager, will be giving an expert presentation on Emerald Ash Borer during the ornamental workshop.

“Arbor Day is a special holiday for us because although we take strides to protect our nation’s trees year-round, it’s an opportunity to encourage others to join us in thinking about ways to sustain our environment,” said Russ Davis, president and chief operating officer. “This year, we wanted to put special emphasis on the power of community. That’s why we’ll be providing opportunities for the public to learn more about what we do and get their hands dirty themselves. With the help of others, we can hopefully not only save one tree, but the whole forest.”
