Takao Nursery Becomes Exclusive Agent for De Ruiters

Garden Bloomer Takao Nursery, a perennial plug producer, has been appointed the exclusive North American agent for De Ruiters of Holland for all of their potted plant and garden varieties including Pot Hypericum, Pot Roses, Terraza Roses and Landscape Roses.

The company has worked with De Ruiters for many years and their facility has been the quarantine area for their new varieties, according to a Takao press release.

American Vanguard Acquires Chemtura Corp. Fungicide Product Line

American Vanguard Corporation recently announced its acquisition of pentachloronitrobenzene fungicide product line from the Crop Protection division of Chemtura Corporation.

The terms were not disclosed.

The Turfcide and Terraclor brands are highly effective fungicides that control a wide range of diseases in turf and ornamental applications, certain agricultural crops, and as a component of seed-treatment dressings. These products are registered in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Turkey, South Africa and a number of other countries.

Seville Farms is Named Newest Tesselaar Licensed Grower

Anthony Tesselaar USA, Inc. has named Seville Farms, Inc. of Lillian, Texas, the newest licensed grower of Tesselaar products. Seville Farms will increase the availability of Tesselaar brand plants, particularly in the Texas market where demand for several popular lines has been strong.
