Hortica Names New President and CEO

Hortica Insurance & Employee Benefits, which provides business insurance, employee benefits and personal insurance to the horticultural industry, is bidding farewell to company president and CEO Robert McClellan and welcoming Mona Haberer on board. Haberer began her new post as head of the company on April 1. She had been with Hortica for almost 20 years, most recently serving as chief financial officer, treasurer and senior vice president for the past nine years. McClellan will assume the role of special adviser to the president during the transition period until his official retirement in July.

Ball Redesigns Website

Ball Horticultural Co. recently announced the launch of its completely redesigned website at http://www.ballhort.com. The new site is a resource for growers, retailers, landscapers and home gardeners to find out about Ball plants, products and programs.

The new website combines information from six formerly independent websites, organized by audience, creating a portal for visitors to easily find the best, most up-to-date information relevant to them.
