BASF Brings Back Pylon Insecticide/MiticideSource: BASF

BASF Professional Turf & Ornamentals recently announced it would end its marketing agreement with OHP and return Pylon insecticide/miticide to its ornamentals product portfolio. Pylon (chlorfenapyr) is the first product in the pyrrole class of chemistry has been an industry-leading miticide in the past seven years that is known for outstanding thrips control.

Pylon has been labeled for use to control insects and mites on greenhouse ornamentals and fruiting vegetables and offers up to 28 days’ control of mites, thrips, caterpillars, fungus gnats and foliar nematodes. Pylon will be offered by BASF starting Nov. 1, 2009, and the company is working to expand the label for control of additional pests.
