BFG Supply employees signal job searches amid company uncertainty

BFG Supply employees are taking to LinkedIn to announce they are seeking new opportunities following recent developments at the company, as questions remain about BFG’s future.

Dozens of BFG Supply employees have recently added #OpenToWork designations to their LinkedIn profiles or posted publicly about looking for new jobs, providing another indication of significant changes underway at the company.

The activity coincides with BFG Events’ recent cancellation of its 2026 Marketplace Expo East and West events. Exhibitors were notified by email that the cancellations came as BFG works “towards resolutions to our current challenges in conjunction with our Restructuring partners at Reflect Advisors.”

Despite the growing number of employees publicly discussing departures and job searches, BFG Supply has not issued an official public statement detailing the company’s current situation or what the developments mean for its operations going forward.

Employees’ LinkedIn posts in recent days have described an emotional and uncertain period.

“Yesterday was a tough day, but the sun always rises,” one employee wrote, calling BFG “the best company I have ever worked for” and praising the company’s team of “talented, hardworking, passionate” people.

Another employee described the situation as the end of an eight-year chapter at BFG.

“It’s been an incredible eight-year journey of growth and leadership for me at BFG Supply,” the employee wrote. “While closing a chapter is never easy, I’m excited to see what lies ahead as I pursue other opportunities.”

Other posts have been more direct about employees entering the job market.

“With the recent changes at BFG, I am looking for my next opportunity,” one employee wrote.

Another referred to “the current uncertainty surrounding my company and the future of my position,” while a separate employee wrote, “The last couple of days have been a whirlwind as the reality of life after BFG begins to sink in.”

Several posts emphasized the relationships employees developed during their time with the company and within the industry.

“This chapter may be coming to a close, but our industry has always been built on relationships,” one employee wrote. “Companies may come and go, but the people who make this industry special remain.”

Customers and others in the industry have also responded publicly to the employees’ posts with messages of support.

“The news regarding BFG is heartbreaking for everyone affected,” one commenter wrote, adding that many talented employees “are now facing uncertainty” and expressing hope that they find new opportunities quickly.

Another customer told a departing employee, “You have always been the consummate professional and one of my favorite people to work and interact with at BFG. I’m really going to miss working alongside and learning from you.”

The employee activity comes alongside BFG exhibitors learned that the 2026 Marketplace Expo East and West had been canceled. In its email to exhibitors, BFG Events recommended attendees cancel travel plans as soon as possible to improve their chances of recovering travel costs.

The company also told exhibitors there were “currently no details on if or when any refunds will be issued for payments made to BFG for Expos,” adding that Reflect Advisors was working through the details.

While some employees have used language on LinkedIn suggesting their time with BFG has ended, the company has not publicly detailed the extent of any workforce reductions or announced what its restructuring process means for BFG Supply’s future operations.

More information will be reported as it becomes available.
