Conference Dishes on Greenhouse Vegetables
The 35th annual North Carolina Greenhouse Vegetable Grower’s Association’s Annual Conference is slated to take place Oct. 30-31 at the Wake County Agricultural Service Center in Raleigh, N.C.
The conference will cover a variety of topics, including new management techniques for greenhouse tomatoes, ways to optimize the nighttime environment, and common greenhouse tomato problems.
Speakers will also discuss an array of other topics, such as current agricultural issues, financing, farm management, and ways to market products.
Since the conference is a grower-oriented program – tailored specifically to small growers – attendees will have the opportunity to mingle and learn from experienced greenhouse growers and exhibitors.
Small growers will find plenty of practical and cost-saving information, and will hopefully walk away with tips to try out in their own greenhouses.
The registration fee of $125-$135 covers two lunches, all breaks, and a Tuesday night steak dinner and performance by Al Batten and the Bluegrass Reunion Band. They’ll also throw in membership in the association and admission to the trade show.
