Dramm/OFA 5K Relay/Walk

Lace up your sneakers and kick off the 2006 OFA Short Course by participating in or sponsoring the 7th Annual Dramm/OFA 5K Relay/Walk. The event will take place at Goodale Park in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, July 8, 2006, with check-in starting at 6:00 a.m. and shoes hitting the pavement at 7:00 a.m. All funds raised will benefit America in Bloom, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting the floriculture industry.

Individual runners or relay teams of four runners will race the 5K for first, second and third place, while individual walkers will complete 1.25K in a non-competitive lap.

Winners of the race will be recognized for their feat at the OFA Short Course’s OFA Awards and Opening Session, which will be held July 8 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Through May 5, 2006, registration fees are $140 for a four-person team and $35 for an individual. After May 5 registration fees are $160 for a four-person team and $40 for an individual. Individual runners may choose to run the entire 5K or be matched with a relay team.

Companies also may sponsor the event at the $150, $300, $600 and $1,000 levels. A sponsorship commitment is needed by May 5 to guarantee logo placement on relay t-shirts and promotional signage.
