Eckes Recognized for Contributions to CommunitySource: CRC

The Community Resource Center’s annual gala fundraiser, “Putting on the Ritz,” honoring Paul Ecke III and the Ecke family, raised a record quarter-million dollars for center programs that shelter abused women and children, provide assistance to low-income families, and help the homeless transition off our streets.

The evening included a tribute to Paul Ecke III and the Ecke family, the inaugural recipients of CRC’s “Community Star” award for their more than 80 years of notable dedication to improving the lives of children and families in Encinitas, Calif., and beyond.

“I am proud that our family has been recognized by CRC, and we hope that it helps to highlight the great work CRC is doing in our community,” stated Paul Ecke III.

Executive Director Laurin Pause attributes increased awareness about CRC’s impact on the North Country Coastal community as a major reason for the record amount raised this year.

“This record fundraising level is a new benchmark for us, and the positive impact it will have on people who need our help is incalculable,” Pause said.
