Industrial Hemp Conference To Be Held In Florida

The inaugural Florida Industrial Hemp Conference & Exhibition (FIHCE 2019) will be held Nov. 3-5, at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando. FIHCE 2019 is a networking and educational event designed to foster the development of an industrial hemp industry in Florida.

Tentative conference topics include:

Hemp market forecast Federal/state regulations and legislation Banking and finance Industrial hemp research Nutritional, pharmaceutical, textile, paper and manufacturing applications Growing, cultivation and harvesting industrial hemp Decortication Crop components: seeds, greens, core fiber, root, bast fiber Waste processing and handling Analytical testing

Speakers include:

  • Holly Bell, Director of Cannabis, Florida Department of Agricultural & Consumer Services
  • Jeffrey Sharkey, The Florida Hemp Association
  • Jeff Greene, Vice President of Marketing, The Florida Hemp Council
Professors from the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences and legal experts will also be speaking at the conference.
