Jan Derck van Karnebeek Appointed CEO of GreenV
Jan Derck van Karnebeek was appointed CEO of GreenV as of Sept. 1, 2022. GreenV is a group of companies active in the international horticulture industry and currently comprises greenhouse builder Prins Group, installation company Stolze, GreenV Indoor and HT Verboom (transport systems).
Until 2021, Van Karnebeek was chief commercial officer (CCO) at Heineken NV and a member of the executive team. After a career spanning almost 28 years at Heineken, he took on a variety of interim CEO/CCO roles.
The GreenV group, founded in 2021, wants to scale up rapidly in the international horticulture industry. Board member Ton Vernaus said: “GreenV is well positioned in an attractive global growth market. Within a year and a half, we were able to bring on board three prominent Dutch companies in the international horticulture industry. In the coming years, we will continue to invest to expand and strengthen our position further. Such investments also include efforts to attract strong and experienced leaders like Jan Derck. We are beyond delighted that he is prepared to take on the role of CEO of the GreenV group. He has a strong track record in accelerating growth in global markets and bringing different businesses and company cultures together. At Heineken, he fueled global growth through an enhanced focus on customer satisfaction, opening up new customer segments, acquisitions, and innovation in products and services. Van Karnebeek holds a number of ancillary positions. He is a non-executive board member at Rewilding Europe (chair of the supervisory board), EdCo (chair of the advisory committee), Wealth Management Partners NV (member of the supervisory board), Xindao (member of the Supervisory Board) and a member of the advisory committee of Rivean Capital.
