Educational sessions announced

The 2025 Farwest Show will offer more than 50 educational sessions designed to help nursery and greenhouse professionals grow their skills and businesses.

Taking place Aug. 20–22 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, the seminar lineup includes 44 hours of in-depth programming. Topics range from garden retailing and sustainability to automation, marketing and pest management. Additional mini-sessions at the Solution Center on the expo floor will cover research updates, AI applications and photography tips.

“When it comes to green industry growth, knowledge is the surest route to success,” said Jamie Moore, events and education coordinator for the Oregon Association of Nurseries. “At the Farwest Show, making actionable knowledge available for any green industry pro, at a reasonable cost, is a key part of our mission.”

Oregon is a major hub for the U.S. nursery industry, with $1.2 billion in plant sales recorded in 2022. The region’s growers produce a broad range of crops, including trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and houseplants.
