McHutchison merges brands to streamline grower support
McHutchison has announced the unification of its operations under a single brand name, consolidating McHutchison and Vaughan’s Horticulture to form one company focused on supporting greenhouse and nursery growers.
The rebranding was unveiled at Cultivate’25 in Columbus, Ohio, where the company introduced a new visual identity and web platform. The change marks a strategic move to simplify access to resources and expand services for growers.
“This represents far more than a shift in branding,” said Ken Turrentine, president of McHutchison. “It’s a thoughtful step forward, one that respects our shared history while bringing together our collective strengths to better serve our customers.”
The company, with roots dating back to 1876 through Vaughan’s Seed Co. and 1902 through McHutchison, now offers a unified digital platform designed to improve product ordering, availability tracking and account access.
The consolidation strengthens support across the horticulture supply chain, improving coordination between greenhouse and nursery needs while enhancing supplier partnerships. The company remains part of Dümmen Orange North America, which it joined in 2017.
Growers can now access the updated web shop at mchutchison.com, where the company says customers will find streamlined tools and resources aimed at helping horticultural businesses grow.
The move aligns with McHutchison’s goal to deliver consistent, quality service and deepen its commitment to helping growers adapt in a changing market.
