MFGC Elects New OfficersSource: Michigan Floriculture Growers Council

Jim Tuinier recently took over as president of the Michigan Floriculture Growers Council. Mark Elzinga is the new MFGC vice president.Paul Karlovich of C. Raker and Sons recently handed over the presidential reins of the Michigan Floriculture Growers Council (MFGC) to Jim Tuinier from Post Gardens of Battle Creek. Tuinier previously served as Vice President.

The new MFGC vice president is Mark Elzinga of Elzinga and Hoeksema Greenhouses in Portage and Joe Wojciechowski of Wojo’s Greenhouse in Ortonville, is the new secretary/treasurer.

New board members include Chet Bartels,representing Western Michigan Greenhouse Association and Mike Dinser, who represents Detroit Metro Flower Growers Association. Dick Derks of K Drive Greenhouse Company was elected as the new at-large board member. The board consists of nine grower members plus two Allied Trade representatives and an Educator representative.
