MU Extension Offers Online Hemp Workshop Jan. 11-15

The University of Missouri Extension will host a virtual workshop about industrial hemp from Jan. 11 to Jan. 15. The workshops will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day.

Topics include a legislative summary and regulatory update, agronomic practices and pests, uses for hemp, crop enterprise budgets, and processing and contracts. Presenters include MU Extension specialists, CBD hemp growers and processors, processors from the Tiger Fiber Hemp Co., and speakers from the Missouri Department of Agriculture and Lincoln University.

Workshop schedule:

  • Monday, Jan. 11 – Missouri Department of Agriculture Hemp program and regulations
  • Tuesday, Jan. 12 – Lincoln University – Genetic Research and how to transport Hemp
  • Wednesday, Jan. 13 – Agronomy, CBD and Ag Budgets
  • Thursday, Jan. 14 – Presentation by Tiger Fiber Hemp Co.
  • Friday, Jan. 15 – Vertical business plan with a producer
