New Jersey CannaBusiness Association Forms Hemp Policy Committee

The New Jersey CannaBusiness Association (NCBA) has created a Hemp Policy Committee. This committee, made up of subject matter experts in the areas of farming, processing, policy and legislation, will provide real-time guidance and support to New Jersey’s newly created hemp industry.

The founding members of the committee include:

• Ken VandeVrede, president of Hillview Med
• Faye Coleman, president of Pure Genesis Health
• Sam Redlich, president of Cola Hemp Co.
• Chuck Romanoli, president of Country Roads Cannabis
• Brett Goldman, VP of government and industry relations, GenCanna

“I am very excited that we have a team of experts that have stepped up to get New Jersey’s hemp industry off the ground,” said NJCBA president, Scott Rudder. “We will need the thought leadership and practical experience that this team brings to the table in the days, months and years ahead. When you consider that all hemp is cannabis, but not all cannabis is hemp, one can appreciate some of the challenges that might occur with banking, insurance and law enforcement. Our mission will be to help resolve these challenges and make the hemp industry a robust industry here in the Garden State.”

New Jersey was one of the first three states to get approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture for its hemp program.
