Northeast Greenhouse Conference and Expo will have cut flowers educational sessions

Northeast Greenhouse Conference and Expo will feature two educational sessions on cut flowers on Nov. 9, 2023.

  1. Outdoor dahlia production for cut flowers, Stephanie Burnett, University of Maine
  2. Pest issues for cut flowers, John Sanderson, Cornell University Entomology

Meet the presenters

Stephanie Burnett is an associate professor of Horticulture in the School of Food and Agriculture at the University of Maine. Her research program focuses on irrigation management, novel plant propagation techniques, and field grown flower production.

For 36 years, John Sanderson has been a professor in the Cornell University Entomology Department, with research, teaching, and extension responsibilities for the biology and management of pests and beneficial arthropods of greenhouse/Controlled Environment Agriculture crops with an emphasis on biological control and integrated pest management.
