The Society for American Florists (SAF) 23rd Annual Conference on Pest and Disease Management for Ornamentals will take place next month in Portland, Ore. The focus of this year’s conference is “New Directions.” Organizers have planned more than 20 sessions covering the latest pest and disease management research including the results of Q-biotype whitefly trials and emerging viruses in ornamental crops.

The conference will convene Feb. 22-24, at the Portland Doubletree at Lloyd Center. There also will be an optional grower tour that will take place on the afternoon of Feb. 22, where attendees will have the opportunity visit three distinct growing operations.
