SePRO Debuts New Fungicide and Plant Symbiont

SePRO Corp. has introduced Obtego, a new fungicide and plant symbiont.

Obtego will serve as a multifunctional tool for growers by protecting the plant from damaging soil-borne pathogens and enhancing root growth and plant health.

As a wide-spectrum fungicide, Obtego is highly effective against diseases such as Pythium spp., Phytophthora spp., Rhizoctonia spp. and more.

In addition to its fungistatic abilities, Obtego establishes a mutually beneficial symbiosis with the plant and plant roots. The result is a healthy, vigorous, disease-free plant.

“When it comes to disease control, Obtego has multiple modes of action to combat several pathogenic fungi,” states Mark Brotherton, portfolio leader for SePRO Corp.. “As a result, there is a low risk of developing resistance.”
