Source.ag has appointed Magnus Hilding as its new chief technology officer, effective immediately. Hilding, who brings extensive experience from Silicon Valley, will lead the company’s efforts to advance AI-driven solutions for vegetable growers.

Previously, Hilding worked at companies like Silo, Ghost Autonomy, and Sony Mobile Communications, focusing on complex systems engineering, embedded systems, and AI/ML. At Source.ag, he will help scale technology that supports the growth of fresh produce worldwide.

“Source.ag’s vision of creating a perfect digital twin for every farm and crop is as bold as it is vital,” said Hilding. “Over 3 billion people do not have access to sufficient fruit and vegetables, and we’ve been working to change it.”

The company’s AI solutions, currently benefiting commercial greenhouses in 18 countries, aim to improve vegetable yields, sustainability, and efficiency. Together, Source.ag’s global network produces vegetables for more than 60 million people, with plans for continued expansion.

CEO Rien Kamman emphasized Hilding’s fit for the role, citing his passion for innovation and customer-driven solutions.
